That means $388 for a typical shareholder when the payout is distributed Dec. 6.

The Fairbanks-based corporation has paid shareholders a dividend each year since 1987.

The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner said the dividend is based on a five-year average of net income.

Doyon has 18,300 shareholders. The corporation was established under the 1971 Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act.
