Anchorage has seen at least five species of owls this winter. The great gray owls have been hunting by the coast, near the airport.
Over 35 swans, mostly trumpeter swans with some tundra swans, were seen gathered at Potter Marsh on Monday evening, Oct. 3, 2011, as they prepare to migrate south for the winter months.
