Alaskans will soon find out what their share of the state's oil wealth will be this year.
Gov. Sean Parnell on Tuesday morning will announce the amount of this year's Permanent Fund Dividend check. He'll be joined at the Anchorage event by Revenue Commissioner Bryan Butcher.
Last year, nearly every Alaskan received checks of $1,281.
The money comes from investment profits from the state's multibillion-dollar oil-wealth savings account.
