Weather permitting, today is your last chance this year to drive the park road into Denali National Park and Preserve.

Officials last week opened the road to Mile 30 until Saturday, when it will close for a culvert construction project.

A light snowfall of a couple of inches temporarily closed the road Thursday.

The road is normally only open for vehicle traffic for the first 15 miles. Only buses are allowed for the remainder of the 90-mile road into the park about 180 miles north of Anchorage.
