The Wolves led 7-6 but Dimond came back in the second half to close the regular season at 13-1. Eagle River slipped to 8-6. When the postseason begins Tuesday, the Lynx will the top seed and Eagle River will be the fourth seed.
Thompson completed six of nine passes for 91 yards, connecting with Fairchild on four of them for 88 yards, including scoring plays of 28 and 13 yards. Haley Martin added a four-yard touchdown run.
Thompson and Fairchild also sparked the Dimond defense, with Thompson getting eight pulls, one of them for a loss, and Fairchild getting an interception and three pulls. Gabby Coleman added five pulls.
Eagle River's second-quarter touchdown came on a 30-yard touchdown pass from Lauren Frost to Skylar Metzel. Alyssa Randall, who led the Wolves in rushing with 50 yards on three carries, tacked on a 3-yard extra point after the touchdown.
The Wolves defense was led by Meaghan Byman's six pulls, two of them for losses.
Chugiak 14, Bartlett 0
Kenzie Matthis broke a 52-yard touchdown run on Chugiak's first play from scrimmage and the Mustangs shut out Bartlett in a 14-0 CIC flag football win Thursday at Tom Huffer Sr. Stadium.
"Both teams just kind of played back and forth between the 20s all game," said Chugiak coach Jon Schroeder. "Defensively, we came up big to keep them out of the end zone."
Sam Perez led the defense with two interceptions and Olivia Peterson had one to help the Mustangs finish with a 7-7 record.
Chugiak led 7-0 at halftime and Andre Samaniego extended the Mustangs' lead with a 3-yard scoring run in the second half that was capped by an extra point on a 3-yard shovel pass to center Kacidra Hoffman.
Bartlett fell to 9-5, dropping from second to third place in the CIC.
"It wasn't the best game of the year, but hopefully we learned something and (we can) get ready for the playoffs," said Bartlett coach Steve Stansbury.
West 25, South 7
West set a winning tone in the first quarter Thursday when Alexandria Rojas caught an 81-yard touchdown pass from Mary Alapeti, sparking the Eagles to a 25-7 CIC flag football win over South at Anchorage Football Stadium.
The Eagles built a 12-7 lead by halftime and scored two second-half touchdowns, including a 1-yard rushing score by freshman Annie Rush. Anna Sophia Roberts led West in rushing with 157 yards on 10 carries and led the defense with six pulls.
Dani Levine was West's top passer with 100 yards, including a 16-yard touchdown pass to Kelly Cantrell. Levine added four pulls and a blocked pass for the West defense.
The Eagles finished the regular season in second place at 9-5 and South finished 1-13.
