Luminarias on the patio of the Alaska Native Heritage Center. Remembering the Light A Community Wide Celebration of Life is held at the Alaska Native Heritage Center on Wednesday evening October 12, 2011. People decorated floating lanterns in memory of deceased loved one and friends which are set out on the frozen lake at the center. Mt. Susitna Singers, The Tlingit & Haida Dancers and story teller Jack Dalton performed at the celebration.

The Hospice of Anchorage hosted ''Remembering the Light, A Community Wide Celebration of Life,'' at the Alaska Native Heritage Center on Wednesday evening. Lanterns honoring deceased family and friends were decorated and placed on the frozen lake in front of the Alaska Native Heritage Center. Mt. Susitna Singers, The Tlingit & Haida Dancers, and story teller Jack Dalton performed at this year's celebration.
