KRBD radio in Ketchikan reports what happened when a small bear cub wound up in the produce bin of Tatsuda's IGA in Ketchikan on Saturday. The animal apparently walked in through the automatic front doors and wound up crawling around the vegetables. Of course someone got it on video and posted to YouTube (It's a little shaky and hard to see the bear at first but stick with it. Things pick up around the 40-second mark).
The bear was grabbed by a customer, KRDB reported. A biologist says the animal is unusually small for this time of year and it wasn't clear whether it was an orphan. A sow wasn't seen anywhere close by. The cub was let loose and hadn't been seen again as of Monday.
