Today I discovered the new bicycle trail at Kincaid Park and I am delighted with it. I have known the trails at Kincaid backwards and forwards. I even know all the "Hobbit" trails, so finding a new trail was wonderful.
The best feature of the new trail is that it goes through the natural interior areas between the old ski trails. The topography the route winds through is very complex with many small steep valleys and numerous knobs. It has to be one of the most sinuous trails in the world! In fact this would be an ideal name for it: "Sinuousity." It is both horizontally sinuous and vertically sinuous. Another possibility would be "Serpentine," or maybe "Sinuously Serpentine." Whatever ... the trail is pure joy to run, walk or ride and maybe even ski. -- Jim Halloran Anchorage
