JUNEAU -- Authorities in Juneau have been able to recover the body of 75-year-old man who was crushed by a 25-ton crane.
The Juneau Empire reported the man was identified as Boyd Cody. It took a full day to get the machinery necessary to move the crane and retrieve Cody's body on Friday.
Officials said the barge crane collapsed Thursday afternoon. Cody reportedly tried to jump out of the machine, but was crushed.
The cause of the accident has yet to be determined. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the collapse.
