Huge waves are pounding Nome's seawall Friday (10/15/04) evening during a storm system that created winds gusting to 45 mph along the Seward Peninsula Coast. The seawall protects Nome's Front Street from erosion, after the windows in the buildings along the shore kept getting knocked out by waves on an annual basis. LAURENT DICK / UNKNOWN
