Wasilla resident Kirby Hull was headed west on Hollywood Boulevard when the horse ran into the road, according to a trooper report. Troopers said Hull had no time to steer clear of the animal, and horse and car collided at about 7:50 a.m.
Hull was wearing a seatbelt and suffered minor injuries, troopers said. Animal control officials took possession of the horse. Troopers have identified the owner of the animal and are investigating the incident, the report says.
Hollywood Boulevard runs south of the Parks Highway, east of Big Lake.
