Christianson, 27, didn't qualify for the second run.

A former Alyeska Ski Club racer and a four-time NCAA All-American at Williams College, Christianson skis independently and earned his World Cup spot by posting strong results on the Nor-Am race circuit two weeks ago.

His younger brother, Kieffer, 19, is in his second year with the U.S. Ski Team but was sidelined a month ago after suffering a concussion while training with the U.S. Development Team at Vail, Colo. He hopes to return to action in January.
