A man was shot at a Holiday gas station at East 68th Avenue and Lake Otis Parkway around 6 a.m. Thursday, according to an Anchorage Police Department press release.
The victim, who has not been identified, was taken to a local hospital with a serious arm wound, police said.
He was shot while in the fuel bay area, and then went into the store and took refuge behind a counter, police said.
Police detained five "people of interest" this morning, but have not arrested anyone, said police Lt. Dave Parker. All five were later released.
No one had been reported arrested in the case as of late Thursday.
