KODIAK -- The Coast Guard said a Kodiak Island surfer who got stranded on a 200-foot cliff was rescued over the weekend.
The Coast Guard in a release said a helicopter crew was able to hoist the surfer to safety from the cliff close to Fossil Beach.
Officials said the surfer had no reported injuries in the Sunday incident.
