Quake beat Scorpions in semi-pro basketball

Three players scored more than 20 points for the Alaska Quake last weekend, helping the semi-pro men's basketball team roll to a 140-126 win over the visiting Arizona Scorpions at Begich Middle School. J.C. Snead led the Quake (1-2) with a game-high 29 points, Carl Arts pumped in 27 and Ronald Bailey turned in 21.

The Scorpions were led by Monte Jones' 26 points, with Rob Turner hitting for 24 and Jamal Livingston notching 20.
