National Book Award winner Barry Lopez, author of "Arctic Dreams" and other notable books about northern history and ecology, will be the keynote speaker at this year's Kachemak Bay Writers' Conference.
The conference is scheduled for June 8-12 in Homer. Alaska writers taking part include Nancy Lord, Dan O'Neill, Don Rearden, Peggy Shumaker and Sherry Simpson.
