In an intense battle between two of the city's top players, Paul Hemry rallied to beat Aaron Haines 5-7, 7-5, 7-5 Friday night to capture the men's open title in the Red Robin Grand Prix at the Alaska Club North.

When the long match ended, both players returned to the court to face each other in the men's doubles final.

In other action Friday, Whitney Williams took home a pair of crowns. She beat Tabtip Louhabanjong 6-2, 6-3 in the women's open final and teamed with Colin Gilliam to beat Haines and Mallery Cox in the mixed open finals.
