Reynolds used a team of 14 dogs to finish the 13-mile race in 41 minutes, 10 seconds, and Ellis used 16 dogs to finish in 41:31. Bill Kornmuller sits in third place with a team of 16 dogs that finished in 42:37.
In 11th and last place in the open class is four-time Iditarod champion Jeff King, who raced with eight dogs in harness, by far the smallest team in the field.
