Alaska State Trooper spokeswoman Megan Peters said courthouse employees are not expected to return to the building until the contents of the package have been identified.
Alaska Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness spokesperson Jeremy Zidek said the state department has been told it is a "white-powder incident."
