UAA's Parker takes 10th in alpine slalom

UAA senior Alex Parker finished 10th to lead the women's alpine ski team in Wednesday's slalom race at the Colorado Spencer Nelson Memorial Invitational in Breckenridge, Colo. Parker, an All-American from Calgary, Alberta, finished the slalom with a two-run time of 1 minute, 38.74 seconds to lead the Seawolves for the third straight day and help put UAA in fifth place.

UAA freshman Anais Urbain placed 15th in 1:40.55, junior Kayla Hoog-Fry took 16th in 1:41.90 and freshman Anna Berecz finished 17th at 1:42.68. Also making the top 20 were senior Sandra MacDonald (1:44.99) in 18th and junior Ida Bjerka (1:46.26) in 20th.

The UAA men will compete in a slalom today.
