Police are searching for a 6-year-old Anchorage girl who didn't get off her school bus Tuesday afternoon.
Firen Wiegele was expected home from Chinook Elementary at around 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, said APD spokesperson Lt. Dave Parker.
She didn't return to her home at the 1800 block of W. 80 th St., in the Strawberry Lake area, about a mile and a half away from the school.
Wiegele is described as a white female with long brown hair and was last seen wearing a pink jacket with a fur ruff hood, snow pants with a camouflage print in lime green, blue, gray and pink. She is 4 feet 6 inches tall and 65 pounds. She has a scar on her chin.
Police are actively searching for her, Parker said.
"Watch out for this little girl," he said. "She may have gone to a friend's house or she could be out lost."
