Martin qualifies for taekwondo junior worlds

Eagle River's Moriah Martin qualified for the U.S. junior world taekwondo team last weekend, earning one of the 10 available qualifying spots at the junior world open team trials at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Martin qualified by winning the middleweight division for girls 14-17, defeating Kentucky's Kendall Yount in the final match.

The 20 athletes on the junior world team will compete in April's Junior World Taekwondo Championships in Egypt.
