Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who decided in the fall not to run for the GOP presidential nomination, said Tuesday on Fox News she'd choose Newt Gingrich -- if she were voting in the South Carolina primary Saturday. He won the Monday debate there, she said. But she praised all the candidates and said the continuing debates are good for them "because iron sharpens iron. Steel sharpens steel. These guys are getting better in their debates. They're getting more concise.
