I've got just the thing to push off this winter chil: Michael and David's 6th Sense Syrah from Lodi, Calif. The wine -- which comes from the family operation run by Michael and David Phillips -- is a lovely big fellow, with lots of oak, deep and malty black fruits and a viscous, rich mouth feel. Fans of the super fat will love this style. Serve with pot roasts or brisket. Costs about $18.
