Not to worry. Goldie's rink resume provides strong evidence of both his prolific goal production and his tendency toward streakiness.
Presto: Goldie has scored points in 19 of the last 24 games and generated 17-15--32 totals in that span. He leads the Aces in goals (20) and points (40), and ranks tied for second in the league in goals. So, status quo.
Goldie, who has scored three goals in the last two games, is the league's reigning Most Valuable Player and goal-scoring champ -- he racked 46 goals last season. He is the only player in league history to score 40 or more goals in five consecutive seasons.
And Goldie, a lock as a future ECHL Hall of Famer, is nearing the league record for career goals. Goldie, 32, has tormented goaltenders for 355 career goals, 13 shy of Rod Taylor's record of 368. With 33 games left in the regular season, the record could be Goldie's this season.
