The winger/defenseman — Leinweber this season has skated in 10 games at forward and seven on the blue line — has racked points in seven of the last eight games and delivered 6-5—11 totals in that stretch. Leinweber brings versatility and value to the lineup.
Not only that, but Leinweber leads the team’s regulars in plus-minus at plus-3, no small feat for a club that has been outscored by 19 goals in even-strength situations this season. His even rating in 106 career games is equally impressive.
With a minimum of 14 games left this season for UAA, Leinweber’s six goals are already his single-season career high by two and his 11 points leave him just one point of tying his single-season career high.
Leinweber’s current four-game point streak is the longest of his Seawolves career. Also, his three power-play goals ties him for the team lead.
