Seawolves nab pair of fourth-place finishes

UAA senior Jaime Bronga and sophomore Lasse Molgaard-Nielson each earned fourth-place finishes in Friday's classical races at the Denver Invitational nordic skiing competition in Tabernash, Colo. Bronga led the women's team, finishing the 5-kilometer race in 22 minutes, 16.2 seconds. Molgaard-Nielson led the men's team with a career-best 37:52.9 in the 10-K race.

Right behind Bronga were UAA seniors Steffi Hiemer and Laura Rombach in fifth and sixth. Hiemer was only two seconds behind Bronga at 22:18.2 and Rombach clocked 22:42.6.

In the men's race, UAA sophomore Lukas Ebner grabbed 18th at 39:50.6 and freshman Nevio Zeni came in 19th at 40:04.0.

The Seawolves compete in a freestyle race today and then have a week off from competition before hosting the UAA Invitational at Kincaid Park and Alyeska Ski Resort.
