Setting career-best all-around totals in two consecutive meets last week helped UAA sophomore Melissa Doucette earn Mountain Pacific Sports Federation co-Gymnast of the Week honors.
Doucette posted a 38.375 all-around score in a meet at Maryland on Friday, and backed it up with a 38.4 all-around at Towson on Sunday. She set or tied career marks in bars, floor and beam during the meets.
Through four meets, Doucette's average score in all-around (38.131) and vault (9.631) are the best in the MPSF. She ranks second in floor exercise with an average of 9.706 and fifth on uneven bars with an average of 9.581.
