Palmer 45, Eagle River 44 in boys basketball

Eagle River's Chris Parker hit a shot at the buzzer Wednesday, but the Wolves fell one point short in a 45-44 loss to visiting Palmer in a nonconference boys basketball game.

Eagle River trailed by three points in the game's final seconds, and Parker tried to launch a game-tying trey. His foot touched the 3-point line, however, so his field goal only counted for two points.
