Last year's silver medalist, Chythlook-Sifsof advanced to the semifinals Saturday but failed to advance to the finals this time around. She wound up in the consolation final instead, where she placed second to France's Deborah Anthonioz.
Anthonioz, the silver medalist at the 2010 Winter Olympics where Chythlook-Sifsof placed 21st, clocked a time of 1 minute, 34.897 to top the six-women consolation final. Chythlook-Sifsof finished in 1:35.529.
Gold went to Canada's Dominique Maltais, who won the final with a smoking time of 1:31.614.
