Alaska boarders shredding the slopes

Snowboarders from Alaska are experiencing plenty of recent success, with Rosina Mancari and Allison Stassel both notching impressive finishes in snowboardcross events last weekend, and Ryan Stassel set to compete on some grand stages. Mancari added a top-10 finish to her collection, placing eighth in a North American Cup snowboardcross event in Big White, British Columbia.

Allison Stassel also nabbed a top-10 last weekend, taking fifth in a USSA Revolution Tour snowboardcross event in Ostego, Mich.

Ryan Stassel's biggest event of the season will take place later this month. He is one of eight American riders to be invited to compete against a field of 50 at the World Snowboard Slopestyle Championships in Oslo, Norway. This week, he will be competing in the Burton Canadian Open slopestyle event in Calgary.
