Dimond 90, Eagle River 32 in girls basketball

Five Dimond players scored in double figures Tuesday, with Ione Fischer and Sierra Afoa notching double-doubles in a 90-32 blowout of host Eagle River in a Cook Inlet Conference girls basketball game. Fischer led all scorers with 16 points, hitting four 3-pointers along the way and dishing a game-high 11 assists. Afoa put up 14 points and pulled in 14 rebounds, and Tara Thompson went 5 of 6 from the floor to finish with 15 points. Aminata Cole chipped in 14 points, and Karenna Liggon knocked in 10 for the Lynx.

Dana Panfil led Eagle River with 12 points and Laurne Frost came up with 10.

West 51, Service 29

Cece Cockerham's game-high 14 points helped propel West to a 51-29 win over visiting Service in a CIC girls basketball game Tuesday.

West's Chanelle Bookert and Anastasia Lavern-Tosi each contributed 10 points, and tough defense by the Eagles played a role in Service's 25 turnovers.

Samantha Zumbro led the Cougars with nine points.

Chugiak 40, Bartlett 25

Eight different players put points on the board for the Chugiak girls basketball team Tuesday, and the Mustangs cruised to a 40-25 win over visiting Bartlett in a CIC game.

Chugiak’s Jessica Tramp hit 4 of 7 shots to lead the team with nine points. Malia McGee drilled 4 of 5 shots to finish with eight points, and Jessi McMullen and Madison McAlveay each chipped in six points for the Mustangs.
