The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner (http://bit.ly/vZIf1e ) says methods for coping with about $12 million in cuts were revealed Wednesday at a Citizens Budget Review Committee meeting.

The Fairbanks North Star Borough School District is basing its 2012-13 budget on flat funding from the state and local governments. The proposed budget is $216 million. That is only about $77,000 more than this year's budget.

Officials say 95 positions will have to be eliminated across the district, including 50 teachers.

Class size also will increase, ranging from 23 students per class in kindergarten to 28 high school students per teacher.
