This is concerning the Alaska State Troopers -- we need more of them! There are so many dangerous drivers on the Sterling Highway. Why should there be so many accidents involving moose? Because people will not slow down.
When I hear talk about spending money to widen the Seward Highway because it's such a deadly route, do you think that will slow people down? No, just the opposite. It won't be any safer. Hire more troopers, not only can they enforce the speed limits, they're there when you need them for other emergencies. We'll have good men with good jobs -- that's good for the economy -- and it will cost less.
