For anyone who can't wait to satisfy their urge to fish, the Alaska Sports Fishing Association's annual Ice Fishing Jamboree is taking place this weekend at Jewel Lake Park.

The event starts at 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday and fishing continues until 3 p.m. each day. There will be prizes for everything from the biggest fish to the oddest fish, and Fish & Game now has the hatchery running with fish to stock for this year's event.

A warming shed will be stocked with free coffee, hot chocolate and snacks provided by Hostess.
