Why are some people so afraid of same-sex marriage?

Washington state is recognizing homosexual marriage. I feel the meaning and solidity of my heterosexual marriage starting to slip already. Why didn't I wait? I too could have had a homosexual marriage! And now, my kids -- I'd like grandkids, which might be less likely -- but I'll bet my kids will be persuaded by the gay homosexual lifestyle. It's a choice, after all -- isn't it?

Are those who oppose recognizing others' right to marry afraid of their own choices, afraid of their own impulses? Or are they afraid that they might have to recognize homosexuals among their own family?

After all, sexual orientation is not a choice, it's a function of brain development. There are more possibilities in God's world than just two.

Support family values. Support everyone's right to marry.
