Contrary to popular belief, people do not choose to be addicts. Women do not choose to be victims of domestic violence.
Addiction and domestic violence tend to go hand in hand.
Whitney's untimely death goes to show that no matter how successful one may be, the truth is that there is no price tag on peace of mind.
She may have been clean and sober (who knows?), but the memories most likely polluted her mind.
