According to police, a teller at the Far North Credit Union was passed a note Monday evening that said there was a bomb in the building.
The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner says the two suspects have been identified as 28-year-old Jenessa Kempski and 22-year-old Paulette Akerelrea.
Sgt. Robert Thompson says the women were arrested shortly after the robbery occurred at about 5:50 p.m. They are accused of having a stack of credit union money with them.
