Four more finish Quest

Four more mushers crossed the Yukon Quest finish line Wednesday, increasing the total to 11, for the 1,000-mile sled dog race from Fairbanks to Whitehorse, Yukon. Abbie West crossed at 4:25 a.m., to take eighth place. Kristy Berington finished ninth when she came in more than two hours later at 6:42 a.m. David Dalton (5:12 p.m.) and Kyla Durham (8:30 p.m.) followed with evening finishes.

The closest pursuers still on the trail Wednesday night were Trent Herbst, Gus Guenther and Paige Drobny, who all left the Braeburn checkpoint, about 100 miles from Whitehorse, Wednesday afternoon.
