Three people walked away with minor injuries after a small plane crashed while landing on frozen Lake Hood. KTUU-TV says the accident happened Monday evening shortly after 7 p.m.
The pilot told KTUU that he was unaware there was unplowed snow when he landed. He said as the Cessna 182 touched-down, snow began to fly over the nose of the plane and then the plane flipped over. Margaret Tyler, spokeswoman for Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, says the National Transportation Safety Board and the FAA are investigating.
