West 67, South 42
Three West players hit double-digit point totals Wednesday in a CIC girls basketball game, and the Eagles triumphed on their home floor, 67-42 over South.
Anastasia Lavern-Tosi led the Eagles with 18 points, Chanelle Bookert hit for 13 and Pauline Tufi deposited 11.
Jasmine Ashby led South with 10 points.
Chugiak 53, East 46
The Chugiak girls basketball team, led by Erinn Scotland's game-high 16 points, did most of its damage in the second quarter of a 53-46 CIC win over visiting East on Wednesday.
The Mustangs outscored the Thunderbirds 22-6 in the second period, as they built a 32-18 halftime lead. Jessie McMullen added 13 points for Chugiak, and Jessica Tramp pitched in 11.
Wenda Poleo paced the East offense with 13 points, with Togafiti Manu and Taria Page each contributing 10.
Dimond 54, Service 17
Aminata Cole and Sierra Afoa both turned in big games for the Dimond girls basketball team Wednesday, propelling the Lynx to a 54-17 blowout of host Service.
Cole produced 17 points and eight rebounds to go with Afoa's 16 points and six rebounds, and the duo combined for 14 of Dimond's 27 steals. Dimond led 29-10 by halftime and didn't slow down in the second half on its way to a 13-0 conference record.
Samantha Zumbro led Service with 10 points and seven rebounds.
