Dimond strengthened its lead on first place in the CIC with the win, improving to 13-0 in the conference, while dropping second-place Service to 10-3.
The 6-foot-8 Hines produced the game's only two blocks, made two steals and dished three assists. Damon Cikanek was the only other Dimond player to reach double digits, hitting two 3-pointers on his way to 11 points.
Two Service players scored in double figures, with Adam Klie pouring in 14 points and Marques Robinson notching 10.
West 67, South 54
Using a big second half Wednesday, the West boys basketball team pulled away for a 67-54 CIC win over visiting South.
Kendal Brown led the Eagles with 20 points, Tyler Norman pitched in 10 and Lincoln Tulimasealii ruled the boards with a game-high eight rebounds. The Eagles led 28-26 at the half, but stretched the lead to 10 by the end of the third quarter.
Louis Page topped the South scorers with 20 points.
Bartlett 88, Eagle River 70
Nine players scored for Bartlett on Wednesday, with four hitting double figures in an 88-70 CIC win over host Eagle River in a boys basketball game.
Steve Maduro's 18 points led the Golden Bears, who took a nine-point lead into the intermission. Treshawn King-Dunbar knocked in 17 points for Bartlett, with Andre Berry and Trenton Anthony each contributing 14.
Eagle River's Chris Parker led all scorers with 22 points, Shaquan Rhoades netted 16 and Kelechi Madubuko produced 10.
East 70, Chugiak 58
East's Xavier Johnson was on fire from the 3-point line Wednesday, drilling six treys in a 70-58 CIC boys basketball win over host Chugiak.
Johnson finished with a game-high 20 points, Jarred Laws chipped in 13 for the Thunderbirds, and Desmond Johnson hit for 10.
Chugiak was led by Skyler Fullmer's 14 points, Marquis Spearman's 13 and Matt Oldenkamp's 12.
