Minor earthquake near Wasilla felt in Anchorage

A minor earthquake was felt in several communities in Southcentral Alaska.

The Alaska Earthquake Information Center says the earthquake had a preliminary magnitude of 3.9 and was felt in Anchorage, Wasilla and Palmer.

It occurred at 11:42 a.m. Thursday and was centered eight miles west of Wasilla. There were no immediate reports of damage.
