KENAI -- Alaska State Troopers reported an 8-year-old boy died in a car crash near Nikiski.

The Peninsula Clarion reported Kale Oren Cramer was in a car driven by Dezarae Cramer that rolled Friday afternoon at Mile 1 Neer Road.

Troopers spokeswoman Megan Peters said the boy was ejected from the vehicle and pinned underneath it.

Investigators said the boy was not wearing a seat belt.

Troopers said Dezarae Cramer sustained minor injuries.
