Calista Corp. officials say the Native regional corporation will issue shareholder dividends totaling nearly $4 million this year.

The dividend checks will be mailed to shareholders next week. Spokesman Thom Leonard says at $3 per share, the payout is $300 for the average shareholder with 100 shares.

Calista is the Alaska Native corporation for the Bethel region. It has more than 12,000 shareholders.
