Dimond 6, Eagle River 0
Dimond's Travis Merritt and Michael Sedor each scored twice Tuesday, helping the Lynx to a 6-0 win over Eagle River in a Cook Inlet Conference boys soccer match at The Dome.
Merritt struck for the first goal and Kerrick Eagle added another to put the Lynx up 2-0 at halftime. Dimond's Micah Rickard added a goal in the second half to go with Merritt's second and Sedor's pair.
Arturo Oberto earned the shutout in goal for the Lynx, who improved to 6-0-0.
Prep girls soccer
Dimond 2, Eagle River 0
Dimond's Aaliyah and Ariela Lewis each racked goals Tuesday at The Dome, providing the Lynx a 2-0 Cook Inlet Conference girls soccer win over Eagle River.
Leah Swiss and Lizzie Gogolowski added assists for the Lynx, and goalie Katelyn Sweeney earned a shutout to help Dimond improve to 5-0-1.

Young takes title
Anchorage's Mike Young defeated Fairbanks' Joe Foltz in the final bout of the men's black belt kumite division at the Alaska State Open Karate Championship last weekend at the Wells Fargo Sports Complex.
Trapshooting
Pulis tops in doubles
Anchorage's Todd Pulis hit 185 of 200 targets to win the doubles division in the Singles Marathon Trapshoot at Birchwood Recreation Shooting Park last weekend, where 38 trapshooters fired at 21,500 targets.
Chugiak's Dale Frary earned a title in the handicap division, hitting 96 of 100 targets, and Eagle River's Jim Flemming nailed 489 of 500 targets to win the 16-yard division.
