Chugiak jumpers rule at track meet

Chugiak athletes won three of Thursday's four events in the Spring Meet, a three-day high school track and field meet.

Alicia Reitz (triple jump), Roger Jorgensen (high jump) and Duncan Keith (triple jump) collected wins for the Mustangs during competition at Bartlett High. The other win went to Eagle River's Scout Warners, who won the girls high jump.

The meet continues Friday at 4 p.m. at Bartlett with shot put, discus, the long jump and the 3,200 meters. The rest of the events will be contested Saturday at Begich Middle School beginning at 10 a.m.
