KENAI -- A three-vehicle crash involving two cars and a bus killed a 59-year-old Nikiski woman Saturday on the Kenai Spur Highway.
Alaska State Troopers say Nikiski emergency crews pronounced Joyce Riley dead at the scene of the 1:30 p.m. crash near Mile 25.
Troopers say a northbound car driven by 23-year-old John King slowed to make a left turn. Riley was behind him and also driving north.
Troopers say Riley just before the crash turned sharply, causing the car to skid and strike the rear of King's car.
The Peninsula Clarion reports the momentum carried Riley's car into the southbound land and into the path of a Motor Coach Industries bus owned by MagTec Alaska.
Driver Aaron Miller was the only person on the bus.
