Ryneski, Vanni power Wasilla girls' 2-0 win

The Dimond girls soccer team remained undefeated with a 7-0 romp over Bartlett in a Cook Inlet Conference girls soccer match at Chugiak High on Thursday.

Colleen Fairchild, Lizzy Gogolowski, Jackie Letourneau, Aaliyah Lewis, Ariela Lewis and Madson Richards each scored goals, with Katelyn Sweeney earning a shutout in goal to help Dimond improve to 7-0-1.

South 2, W. Valley 0

South's Morgan Hooe earned two assists Thursday in the Wolverines 2-0 nonconference win over West Valley in a girls soccer match at South High.

Hooe lofted a high touch pass to Katelynn Zanders for the match's first goal and set up Cydney Lagomarsino for a late goal. Sarah Johnson and Michelle Cole shared goal tending duties for the Wolverines.

Wasilla 2, Homer 0

Hailey Ryneski and Nikki Vanni provided the scoring Thursday, helping the Wasilla girls soccer team secure a 2-0 win over visiting Homer.

Ryneski opened scoring in the first half, with Vanni adding her goal about five minutes later. Goalie Crystal Branson earned the shutout, and the Warriors improved to 3-0.
