Published: May 5, 2012

Dimond was dealt its first loss of the season Saturday, as an early goal from Kylie Street and strong goalkeeping from Sarah Johnson pushed South past the Lynx 1-0 in a girls Cook Inlet Conference soccer match at Dimond.

Street took a pass from Kayla Sims and delivered a shot over the outstretched arms of Dimond goalie Katelyn Sweeney in the 14th minute, and Johnson made five saves to maintain a shutout.

Skyview 1, Homer 1

Homer goalie Rachel Doan made a diving save near the end of the match Saturday to preserve a 1-1 girls soccer draw with Skyview in Homer.

Sarah Andrews scored a goal for Homer (1-5-1) and Nicole Tromblee notched one for Skyview (1-3-3).

Juneau 9, Bartlett 1

Emily Longlet scored Bartlett's first goal of the season Saturday, but it wasn't enough to keep the Golden Bears from falling 9-1 to Juneau in a nonconference girls soccer match at South High.

Sidney Browning led Juneau with two goals.
